Wintry Wreath with Tiny Duffy

"This is a pretty wreath," admitted Tiny Shellie May.

Focus on Tiny Duffy and Tiny Shellie May

"At least take some fabulous photos of me please?" asked Tiny Shellie May.

"That's more like it," said Tiny Duffy. "Look. You can hardly even see the wreath!"

Another wreath???

"Look!" I said. "It's a nutcracker!"

"Seriously?" asked Tiny Duffy. "Can we please ride something fun now?"

Duffy with More Wreaths

"I am starting to have doubts that it is a small world after all," said Tiny Duffy.

What country is known for bowls of fruit, I wonder?

Tiny Bears in the Way

"Are you trying to get pictures of us or the wreaths?" asked Tiny Duffy.

"Mumble mumble mumble," I said.

"Maybe the fireworks make this the Chinese wreath!" said Tiny Duffy.

Duffy's Spring-ish Voyage - Part 12

Point 14a is the quilt shop. I'm not sure I got a picture of the bears in there...it was modern but had some fabulous fabric. You will get to see a tiny piece of it WAY in the future.

Point 14b is the museum!

We were in a hurry so we couldn't look around too much.

But my tiny bears love sewing implements!

"May I have a hot beverage, please?" asked Tiny Shellie May.

"No," I said.

"Aw."

"May I watch this tiny television?" asked Tiny Duffy.

"I don't think it works," I said.

"Aw."

My dad uses a wheelchair so I though the antique wheelchairs were fascinating.

"They also do not look very convenient," said Tiny Duffy.

"Or sturdy," added Tiny Shellie May.

All three of us stared a little at this.

"That baby stroller looks a whole lot like a wheelchair!" Tiny Duffy said.

I guess in a way they served the same function (pushing around people who cannot push themselves) but still kind of upsetting.  I quickly diverted the bears' attention.

"Is that a gangster car?" asked Tiny Shellie May.

"Um, I'm sure it's probably not," I said.

Less disturbing was the antique dress.Though I believe it was from the Civil War era.

"What is the Civil War?" asked Tiny Shellie May.

Oh dear. I am starting not to like history quite so much.

Though a woman with a sword is always cool.

Where in the World are Tiny Duffy and Tiny Shellie May?

Where is this wreath? Does the poodle make it French wreath, you think?

"I am fairly certain we are still in America," said Tiny Shellie May.

She's not much fun, is she?

Duffy with Asian Wreath by It's a Small World

My mom LOVES It's a Small World Holiday. She'll often tell me I need to get a photo by wreaths because they're Japanese, or they look Japanese to her.

"I think this is Chinese," I said.

"Don't be silly," said Tiny Shellie May. "This is definitely American."

I suppose Tiny Shellie May is right!

Duffy and Wreath by It's a Small World

The area by It's a Small World (aka It's a Small World Mall) is very decorated for the holidays!

"I am not sure what country this is supposed to be," said Tiny Duffy.

"Do YOU know?" asked Tiny Shellie May.

"Who are you talking to?" I asked.

Deserted Frontierland and Duffy with a Lighthouse

We emerged onto a deserted Frontierland, which the tiny bears enjoyed very much! Too much to pose for photographs, in fact!  (This was just before 10 AM the Tuesday after Thanksgiving.)

Then we doubled back to Fantasyland. Tiny Duffy and Tiny Shellie May liked the lighthouse because it reminded them of Cape Cod.

(Good thing we got this photo! Next trip, it will be all blocked off because the ride is being refurbished...oooh, sssh. I think I've said too much.)

Duffy with Indiana Jones

We are ALMOST THERE! Tiny Duffy and Tiny Shellie May spent the ride inside my bag. They were not impressed...but they did enjoy the nicely-themed queue very much.

Tiny Light

"If we follow that tiny light, do you think we will get to Neverland?" asked Tiny Duffy.

"I doubt it," I said. "But don't worry. I will keep you safe."

Tiny Shellie May nodded. "Disney wouldn't endanger their customers, because then they wouldn't make any money off of them."

I am not sure when Tiny Shellie May became such a cynical tiny bear.

It is dark inside Mara's Temple

Kind of neat-looking, though.

Indiana Jones and the Underexposed Photograph

"It is dark and spooky," said Tiny Duffy.

"I think I like it," said Tiny Shellie May. "At least after our purse adjusted the exposure."

"Your purse?" asked Tiny Duffy.

"She means me," I sighed. "Since I carry her things for her."

"I think your purse needs to take a photography class," whispered Tiny Duffy.

Indiana Jones with Tiny Duffy and Tiny Shellie May

All this time, there was no line, but lots of places to take nice photographs!

"I am ready to ride now," said Tiny Shellie May.

She sure is impatient.

Duffy's Spring-ish Voyage - Part 11

I think this is a nurse at Dr. McGuffin's Office (point 11)! It was kind of awkward to get photos in there.

Then we were off to District 16 Schoolhouse (point 12).

"Aw," whined Tiny Duffy. "One of the best parts about being a bear is NOT going to school."

Tiny Shellie May preferred the beautiful lunchbox.

"May I have lunch now, please?" asked Tiny Shellie May.

"It's not lunchtime," I said.

Fortunately, we found something better. (Point 13!)

I knew 13 was a great number! The candy was ridiculously good and the prices were AMAZING. This chocolate-covered marshmallow was 25 cents. 25 cents. Unbelievable!

At Disneyland, a Tigger Tail has 3 or 4 marshmallows with caramel and white chocolate and sprinkles...for $4!

"Too...much...candy..."

Tiny Bears are Spiky

"Aren't you scared of those spikes?" I asked the bears.

"Not really," said Tiny Duffy. "I don't see any bear skulls."

"No," Tiny Shellie May agreed. "Just people skulls...." She paused. "Oh."

"Awkward," said Tiny Duffy.

Scary Caves

"This cave is dark and scary," said Tiny Shellie May.

"You're not scared of caves, are you?" I asked.

"I didn't used to be," said Tiny Shellie May.

Can you read Mara-ese?

I've been told Duffies can understand every language. I asked if they could read this.

"It's too dark," said Tiny Duffy. "Yes, that's it."

I used to have a decoder.

Things are looking up

Actually, the tiny bears are not looking up at all.

False advertising!

But you can see outdoors which is kind of neat.

Going underground

"This is slightly intimidating," said Tiny Shellie May.

"It's just part of the queue," I said.

Oh no! Forbidden eyes!

So by now the park had been open for not quite half an hour.

Not loving the unannounced refurb for Big Thunder Mountain (good thing I rode it during fireworks on Sunday!) but nice wait times at about 9:30 AM.

We decided to do some archaeology. I rushed and entered about half a second before a man, older than me and also alone (except no bears to keep him company), who paused behind me whenever I stopped to take a picture. I should have asked him if he wanted to go ahead, but I was shy. Eventually we met up with a line (if not a long one) so it's not like it would have saved him any time, but still. He was probably wondering why a grown woman was taking so many pictures of tiny bears. Not sure if he was amused or not. If he was alone, maybe he visits the parks often enough that he found something different amusing.

I took a lot of pictures.

I wonder why they call it the Temple of the Forbidden EYE, since Mara gets mad if you look into her EYES. Hm.

Wait. Are we tall enough to be riding this?

This is literally one minute after Tiny Shellie May was impatient.

"Are you sure we will be safe?" asked Tiny Shellie May. "We are very small, and these seats are very big."

"I will hold you very tight," I promised.

I had not ridden the Astro Orbiter in quite some time. The views were very pretty.

I understand the Peoplemover is not coming back. I will always miss it.

Anyway, we enjoyed our quick flight!

Impatient bears

"I would like to hurry and ride now please," said Tiny Shellie May.

We had been waiting 5 minutes.
