We went to A Bug's Land next, because the rides are low-capacity so I thought we should do them early. (I'd actually NEVER ridden any of these three rides in A Bug's Land!)

We probably should have waited a little longer...we actually got held up because they were waiting for more riders before starting the ride!

This is a unique and interesting area.

Fun fact--my mom wanted to see Aladdin the day we visited DCA, but I didn't think we had time, and we didn't end up seeing it.

It just happened to be the VERY day that the flying carpet came back to the "A Whole New World" scene after a very lengthy hiatus of like a year or longer.

So if I'd been more thoughtful and made the show a priority for Mom's sake, I would've been there! Oh well.

I think it was chilly enough that not even many PEOPLE were riding...and bears have too much fur.

"You'd get soaked, Shellie May," I told her. "But we can get a nice photo here."

"Yay!"

"WOW!" said Shellie May. "I remember when we stayed there because you won a contest. It was so amazing!!!"

"But now we're in Disney California Adventure and that is very good, right?" Shellie May grinned.

"WOW! Grizzly River Run!"

"Is that why Duffy came to Disney California Adventure? Because it used to have a bear as a mascot?"

"Um....maybe," I said.

Even though we'd only been on one ride, Shellie May was up for another rest!

"Oh wow!" said Shellie May.  She had fun getting a photo with the CMs at the Little Mermaid ride.

The Little Mermaid ride was temporarily closed. :(

But the good news is that we got to meet THREE Cast Members who all had outfits like Shellie May's! They thought she was pretty cool. :)

"HEY LOOK!" cried Shellie May. "Someone used a vintage effect on this washed-out photo of me. WOW!"

"I love the colors!" said Shellie May.

"I am tired from trying to reach that GIANT cannon," said Shellie May. "Can we please rest for a minute?"

The parks are so uncrowded in the mornings, I hated to waste any time waiting...but how could I say no to that smiling face?

"Wow, but you got over 100,000 points!" Shellie May beamed. "You are very good!"

I don't think that was actually an impressive score, but I liked the nice things she said about me.

Shellie May actually never does well on Toy Story Mania, but she enjoys it anyway.

I loved this little toy in a window on Buena Vista Street because it reminds me of the Golden Zephyr!

"This is comfortable," said Shellie May, "but can't we go ride something?"

"Soon!" I promised.

"Wow...was this bridge this color the last time we saw it?" asked Shellie May.

"I think it used to be plain colored,"I said, "and then they made it really dark, and now it's kind of pretty. I'm not sure if it's historically accurate, though."

"That's nice," said Shellie May. "Can we go on rides now?"

"Not yet. The park's still not open!"

"Well, in Disney California Adventure, it's actually a restaurant," I said.

"Oh. Then can we eat there?"

"Maybe," I said.
