Carousel on Halloween

This is kind of funny. So we'd wanted to ride the carousel but we went by and it was closed (I guess for fireworks). So we went to Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, then came back and...it was closed again (I guess for fireworks). Then we finally came back a third time.

Sword in the Stone (with Duffy)

"Goodbye, carrousel," said Tiny Shellie May.

"And hello shiny!" said Tiny Duffy.

Try as they might, Tiny Duffy and Tiny Shellie May couldn't pull the sword out of the stone.

"Aw."

Bear Handles

King Arthur Carrousel even has convenient handles for tiny bears to hold on to.

Round and round...and round...

Look in the mirror! It's Tiny Duffy! And my forehead!

And our horse's nostrils!

Do you think he looks like a Brooklyn horse? I do.

Carrousel just sounds classy

Tiny Duffy and Tiny Shellie May LOVE carousels! I don't know why. Maybe it's the fresh air, or the old-timeyness.

Or possibly it is the fact that they can stick to the brass poles. I guess we'll never know.

Fortunately, I like carousels too. I really like Disneyland's because supposedly some of the horses came from Coney Island!

In small form I thought this was another of those notably terrible pictures...but I hadn't noticed the lights on the carrousel under the canopy.

"Can we ride?" the tiny bears asked.

"Not now...we don't want to waste our Magic Morning on a ride we can ride later."
