A beauty but a funny bear

"Little town, it's a quiet village. Every day like the one before."

"Little town, full of little bears...waking up to say..."

"Bonjour!"

This queue was very nice. We had a Fastpass+ (if we hadn't, we might not have gone to Magic Kingdom so early!) but given the VERY LOW CROWDS in late January, it was really unnecessary.  A nice mother pointed out Shellie May's outfit and my painted Anna jeans to her daughter(s) and seemed to think they were both really really neat! The girls seemed less impressed but that is OK.

Shellie May is shopping

Shellie May does like shopping!

We were actually in this store when a kind Cast Member gave my mom an "Honorary Citizen of Disneyland Resort" badge. I ran over and he gave me one too! I was super-excited. Mom, not so much.

Long story short, now I have two "Honorary Citizen of Disneyland Resort" badges and Mom has 0. :)

Shellie May on the Golden Zephyr

So in line near us was a party of 3, a dad and his two sons. The Golden Zephyr only has room for 2 people per seat, so the dad asked if I would ride with one of his kids.

Yes, yes I would. It was fun! I'm almost never on the inside, since I either ride alone or with my mom, and I tend to get into ride cars first, which puts me on the outside. The inside was almost scary!

"Hey! Hey! Hey!" cried Shellie May. "There is room for 3 people in this seat!"

"Two people and an adorable bear."

"Yes! I like that even better!"

Meeting (small) Santa Duffy!

So we high-tailed it to World of Disney so I could buy what I really wanted...a cute 9" Santa Duffy!!! I fell in love with him the moment I first saw a picture...and I did a test drive at my workplace (!!!) during lunch in exchange for a $15 gift card. So he was almost free!

I took Shellie May to Marceline's Confectionary and someone pointed out how cute she was! I said she came from Japan (I said that a lot this trip) but said if she liked Christmas at all, she should definitely buy Santa Duffy! And pulled him out of my bag to show her.

Shellie May hugged Santa Duffy as soon as we got back to the room. "I am so happy to meet you and your outfit is VERY cute and you are so cute and sweet-looking and I think we are going to have a GREAT time together and I am glad you are with us and here!!!!"

I think Santa Duffy was stunned silent.

No, really, goodbye, Sailing Ship Columbia

On our way off the boat, someone greeted us...it was a Cast Member who also worked at the Haunted Mansion! She admired the tiny bears' new outfits.

"Everyone at Disneyland is very nice," said Tiny Shellie May. I detected a hint of blush on her bear cheeks.
