Shellie May in a museum

"Wow! I wonder what is in there?"

"A museum! Wow! It is so quiet and there is at least one horse and lots of old Moroccan things and it's all pretty and peaceful and historic and we can rest here and brush our fur if we need to!"

  "WOW IT'S SO QUIET!!!!"

"QUIET, Quiet, quiet," the room echoed.

"Oops," said Shellie May. She zipped her lips closed.

Shellie May in the Fez House

Fez house

The first thing one should own is a home; and it is the last thing one should sell, for a home is one's castle this side of heaven.

Moroccan proverb

Fez house is inspired by the traditional Moroccan home. Built around a central courtyard, the home provides privacy by closing rooms off from city streets.  Within the courtyard, residents enjoy a quiet retreat from the outside world.

The style of dwelling was developed in the 14th century during the reign of the Marinid dynasty.

Shellie May alone in Morocco

Morocco was so nice and peaceful and not busy at all!

"What a pretty place to visit! I feel like I am overdressed, though."

Moroccan marketplace with Shellie May

"What a pretty marketplace to shop in!"

"May I try on some earrings?" asked Shellie May.

"Your ears are not pierced," I said. "But you can admire yourself in a mirror."

"Yay!"

Shopping with Shellie May

"Oh...my," said Shellie May. "That is kind of a revealing top."

"This coming from a bear who came to me wearing only a shirt and a bow," I said.

"Maybe you are right," said Shellie May. "But I am covered in fur and--OH MY!"

"That top shows even MORE skin!" She stared in disbelief.

"Actually, that is a necklace," I said.

"Oh. In that case, it is very pretty!"
