Possible. (Though I think Belle had a big change in that she was probably dreaming of a handsome, perfect prince and then she found Beast, who's far from perfect...but fell in love anyway. Awww.)

The Duffy display at DCA...had some cute trunks in 2012. That's all I can say.

Meeting Dr. Facilier!

"We have a problem," I told Dr. Facilier. "You see, my friend Ariel, she lost her voice."

Dr. Facilier considered. "Brew her some tea with honey," he suggested.

"Oh," I said. I mean, I didn't REALLY want to call on the Shadow Man for help, but this was just pretend. Wasn't it?

Wait. What's that shadow doing on Duffy?????

Then he had an idea. "Let's get the picture first," he said. Then he asked for Sebastian and Duffy. "Now," he said. "You need those bags over there to continue your journey?"

"Yes," I said. I was rather worried about what he might do to Duffy.

"Now," he said with a sly smile to Ariel, "I'm not gonna give these things back until she says please. And I can wait all night."

All eyes were on Ariel! She cleared her throat and managed to say, "Please."

The spell was broken!

No harm done...but I don't suggest asking Dr. Facilier for help any time soon.

Speaking of lights!

The Golden Zephyr is nothing without its lights.

If I hadn't been so pressed for time and cheap, I would've installed more, though I'm not sure where I could've found a nice set of warm lights (the white ones were "cool white" and it shows). The orange ones in my hair aren't quite right but they're really cool fiber optics with a battery in the barrette!

Happy Teddy Bear Day!

Apparently today is Teddy Bear Day!

I saw pictures of Duffy online quite a while ago, but I first met him Saturday, October 16, 2010, at Disney California Adventure. It was LOVE.

I didn't want to buy a Duffy, as I thought he was too expensive (and in fact he was cheaper than he is now!). But I thought tiny magnet Duffies were even cuter and looked a lot more like the adorable Duffy I'd just met and fell in love with. Long story short....he joined my family.

I had grand dreams of making him clothes, but by March 2011, it hadn't happened. I brought him on a trip to Florida with me and he posed for a few photos. It wasn't really until a ridiculously long layover in Tampa Bay that we really became friends.

And we've been travel buddies ever since.

Oh dear

This is seriously unsafe and I think against Disneyland policy, though I didn't consider that last part at the time.

Not saying it wasn't funny though. I mean, kids, don't even think about doing such a reckless thing.

Meeting Duffy! Again!

We went on over to Disney California Adventure. Not sure how I talked Mom into it. Maybe because I told her she could take my picture.

I'm very difficult to take pictures of. At least the bears' pictures were nice!

Duffy, of course, did not want to return my tiny bears. Oh, Duffy. I love you.

We went to get ice cream (quite a line)...and who should come out?

Nom nom nom. I miss when they used to have flavor swirls like bubble gum, but chocolate is pretty good too.
