Shellie May is comfortable

"I am a little tired from our trip," said Shellie May. "It's so hot! But there are nice seats around the edges of the theater. They are mostly for adults and bears, I think."

The lighting in here is kind of harsh...

But oh! The puppets! Donald was about the cutest thing ever. (Next to Duffy and Shellie May.)

I'm only vaguely familiar with the Disney Junior shows (I don't have cable but I do have a young nephew). But I thought it the show was darling! (Shellie May liked it too!)

Spot the differences

"Can you spot the differences?" asked Shellie May.

"Tee hee."

"Ack your hug is squishing me"

Shellie May with Duffy's bedtime story

Before we went to bed, Shellie May insisted on seeing Duffy's bedtime story.

"It is not as good as the story from Tokyo DisneySea, but it is so nice to see Duffy on TV!"

Shellie May meets Mickey the Magician

YES! We met Talking Mickey the Magician!

He seemed to think of Shellie May as a baby. He also hit my BFF in the face repeatedly with his ears, which amused me but not her so much.

And he did a card trick for us! LOL. (It was so empty in the parks we waited about 2 minutes to meet him!)

Duffy and Duffyella and Mickey oh my

Duffy and Shellie May even inspired my BFF to buy a magnet bear!  She really wanted a Shellie May, so she instead called her Duffyella...

Duffy and Mickey!

Shellie May with Walt Disney

"Hi, Walt! Hi, Mickey!" Shellie May paused. "The California sun won't turn me that tan, will it?"

"No, Shellie May."

"Whew! Mickey and Mr. Disney look handsome, but their sunburned clothes are very boring."

Finally meeting Mickey!

Did you know all these years, none of my Duffies ever bothered to wait in line to meet Mickey? This line was short but very slow, and when we got into Mickey's dressing room, a family shoved its way ahead of me...the CMs tried to make them wait their turn but I let them go.

Outside, the line said 60 minutes! It did take maybe 10-15 minutes to meet Mickey, but his house was EMPTY!

Visiting Mickey's Mailbox

"I want to see Mickey!" said Tiny Duffy.

"Sorry," I said. "The line is too long."

"Maybe we can leave him a voice message at the Post Office," said Tiny Shellie May.

Traditional Picture

It's not that Tiny Duffy is bad. He just doesn't much like bad photography.

This, however, is a classic place to get one's picture taken at Disneyland. So even Tiny Duffy happily consented.

(Tiny Shellie May was just taking it all in and was in no hurry to rush through the parks. But Tiny Duffy had already visited them, albeit in my messenger bag. And he's not the most patient of bears.)
