Memories with Mintsy

Here is the Mintsy I made for my BFF!

So these were our memories from the first couple days. Our first night at EPCOT, my BFF remembered Test Track and I remembered that a little boy in his father's arms on the bus had a broken light-up toy. He dropped it and I caught it with my foot but didn't dare stoop to pick it up. Eventually the father picked up the toy and...it worked! MAGIC FOOT!

Then my friend remembered marathoning Everest 4 times in a row (we'd hoped for 6 but an unexpected breakdown during #4--right at the place she accurately drew--made the line too long). I remembered the birds attacking food left behind in a stroller. Bwahahahahaha.

(Bottom) I loved our terrible cars at Test Track! And my BFF bought "Duffy-ella." :D

(Top) My friend had her first character greet (times several!) and I remembered riding the Peoplemover and saying hi to a couple people we passed...and then singing "Eye of the Tiger," which the DJ was playing as we got off.

(Bottom) My BFF got chosen to be the Wardrobe for Enchanted Tales with Belle! And I remembered freezing mostly to death and then getting a delicious LOBSTER ROLL from the Contempo Cafe!

(Top) At Universal Orlando, my BFF and I got suckered into watching a preview and telling them our thoughts about it. The show was called Rush. It was TERRIBLE. It made it onto TV anyway, but it has since been canceled. WHOO! I was very proud about riding 5 coasters at Universal. (Mummy, Hulk, Ice Dragon of Dragon Challenge, Fire Dragon of Dragon Challenge, Rip Ride Rockit.)

Remembering Universal Hollywood--I loved how much Vannelope loved Shellie May and my BFF remembered ridiculous amounts of rain. There is the sweet note from our maid. :)

And this was THE BEST BREAKFAST SANDWICH OH MY GOODNESS THE BREAD BRIOCHE NOM NOM NOM SO GOOD!!!

And that was the end of my Disney World vacation...but I have another vacation on deck VERY VERY SOON! Duffy and Shellie May too!

Our maid at POP Century really outdid herself. She wrote a nice note to our family. Family of plushies, I hope she thought....

I was careful to tip her each time, so I don't feel TOO bad that she spent so much time entertaining us.

Back to POP Century

Then we went back to POP Century. It was so cold and so wet, we were very glad to be home!

But first, my BFF picked up her cute Little Mermaid shirt she'd had sent to the resort earlier.

The maid kindly set up the Duffys and Mintsy for the torrential rain!

Here is the brisket (?) meal that took a million years to arrive. (It was very good, but the service at Pop Century's food court after the Magic Kingdom closed left VERY MUCH to be desired.)

When we got to the room, Duffy-ella and Mintsy appeared to be doing well.  But Duffy...

Oh no she didn't! LOOK WHAT THE MAID DID! :O :O :O

For having only stayed in the room all day, the Duffies, Duffyella, and Mintsy sure looked tired.

Oh, I'll bet my BFF was glad to be back in the room where she could rest!

Am I the only person who thinks this looks like a futuristic graveyard?

The bus ride was kind of funny. There was a guy holding a little kid, probably my nephew's age, with one of those light up spinner toys. He dropped it on the bus floor, more than once, I think, and eventually it broke. So he still held it, even though it wouldn't light up or spin anymore. He dropped it again and I couldn't reach it since I was standing on a moving bus and didn't want to die, but I put my foot on it to keep it from rolling away. Eventually the dad picked it up and gave it to the kid.

And it worked again! Magic foot!

When we got home, Shellie May spent some time with Mintsy.

We decorated our window with our memories of the day. I was very proud of my Magic Foot.

Duffy and Shellie May are going on a new trip!

So my Duffy, Shellie May, and Dusty are going on a new vacation! Here Shellie May is with her good friend Mintsy (I made her!) and my mom's Duffy ("Ted") and her Tippy Blue.
