Tiny Bears near Splash Mountain

"We do not want to get our fur wet," the bears said in unison.

OK then.

I got SO WET that I had to wring out my socks! The water somehow ruined my BFF's hoodie too. Creepy.

Splish...splish...splish...golly I was wet.

The stupid thing is I brought flip flops with the express purpose of wearing them for water rides! D'oh!

This was about 1:08 PM on Friday, November 2, 2012. That's a pretty-looking wait time sign. I think we must have broken Splash Mountain though! :)

I think crowds were lower because there were no fireworks that night--they were doing a parade filming the next day, so the castle was blocked by a makeshift stage and such.

Oh no! Forbidden eyes!

So by now the park had been open for not quite half an hour.

Not loving the unannounced refurb for Big Thunder Mountain (good thing I rode it during fireworks on Sunday!) but nice wait times at about 9:30 AM.

We decided to do some archaeology. I rushed and entered about half a second before a man, older than me and also alone (except no bears to keep him company), who paused behind me whenever I stopped to take a picture. I should have asked him if he wanted to go ahead, but I was shy. Eventually we met up with a line (if not a long one) so it's not like it would have saved him any time, but still. He was probably wondering why a grown woman was taking so many pictures of tiny bears. Not sure if he was amused or not. If he was alone, maybe he visits the parks often enough that he found something different amusing.

I took a lot of pictures.

I wonder why they call it the Temple of the Forbidden EYE, since Mara gets mad if you look into her EYES. Hm.

Hungry Bears at a Restaurant

Then we went back to Disneyland! Here is the wait board about noon! (Monday after Thanksgiving, 2011.)

We were all hungry, so we appropriately went to the Hungry Bear Restaurant.

"NOM NOM NOM" said Tiny Duffy. And Tiny Shellie May. And me.

TINY BEAR-SIZED PIE! Long story...Mom bought a cupcake and another pie...after my sandwich and sweet potato fries (and Mom's salad), we were all too full to eat all the desserts! So we ate the cupcake, since it was the most perishable. The pies eventually went home with my mom...I never tasted it!!!

Oh well. At least it was a cute picture.

Duffy at Downtown Disney

This is about 90 minutes after the park opened! (Monday after Thanksgiving 2011)

Then I made my way to Downtown Disney. Mom and I had a coupon to use.

Obviously the display was not as nice as the ones in  Tokyo Disney Sea, but I have no idea if I'll EVER get to visit there...

I guess the pirate outfit is one piece and closes in the back. Interesting.

The sailor outfit's closure is really interesting! My Duffy's just slips over his head.
