Inside Gadget's Go-Coaster

This is my 400th post on Daily Duffy!

Did you know that I once built a scale model of the Gadget's Go-Coaster building out of cardboard and construction paper? The entire area under the eaves was a really cute sleeping area for my Gadget doll.

Actually, I did a couple photo adventures with that Gadget back in the day...oh, memories.

Back in the day, there was not an exit gate to the Go-Coaster, the sponsor sign that says "Get ready to roll!" was a miscolored Rescue Rangers symbol, and Gadget herself did not do the safety spiel. Oh, how things change.

Duffy's Spring-ish Voyage - Part 13

Tiny Duffy and Tiny Shellie May like trees.

Then we rushed to get lunch before the little cafe closed. I think I got a chicken salad sandwich? and then a molasses cookie which was really good.

Then I ran to the car to get something for my aunt. I was shocked to notice this flag. Wow! Who would've thought!

So Japanese/American bears from Cape Cod, made in China and Vietnam, in Ohio, with a Japanese flag. That is a mouthful!

OK, back to the trip! We must have gone through point 15, Lauber General Store, quickly before lunch, but I guess no pictures in there.

Point 16! The W.O. Taylor Printing Office!

This was just neat, to see an old printing press in motion.

Yes, one of those printing presses printed out this card!

Fish Power with Tiny Shellie May

"I do not understand this device," said Tiny Shellie May.

"Is it supposed to be a fish swimming in a fishbowl and generating power for the crank that powers our roller coaster up the lift hill?"

"Um...yes?" I said.

Actually, I am not sure. The machine used to actually spew steam; I'm not sure if it does anymore. Steam coming out of a fishbowl does not seem like it would be pleasant, though to be honest, the fish did not seem to mind a bit.

Actually it is Gadget's Go-Coaster

"WHEW," said Tiny Duffy. "No zombies!"

"Actually, it is a tiny roller coaster," said Tiny Shellie May. "And we are tiny as well, so it is very convenient."

I used to ADORE Gadget from Rescue Rangers. I do still like her but I was a HUGE fan when the Go-Coaster came out. It still makes me smile. Even if the ride is very, very short.

Tiny Duffy and Zombies

"Where are we going now?" asked the tiny bears.

"It looks very rustic and peaceful," said Tiny Shellie May.

"Then why do I hear humans screaming?" asked Tiny Duffy. "Is it a zombie attack?"

"I do not think so," said Tiny Shellie May.

Entering Toontown

"Where are we going?" asked Tiny Duffy.

I waited for him to read the sign.

"Ontowi?" Tiny Duffy asked. "That's not in Japan, is it?"

"No," said Tiny Shellie May. "It certainly is not."

"Look again," I said.

"Toontown!" said the Tiny Bears. It was just opening up!

It looks a lot more crowded than it really was...everyone was coming in at once!

Leaving It's a Small World Holiday area

"Are we done yet?" asked Tiny Duffy.

Actually...yes!

"Where are we going now?" asked Tiny Shellie May.

"We'll see," I said.

"Who is that man next to us?" asked Tiny Shellie May.

"I don't know."
